The wines of the small Jura region in eastern France, until recently viewed as relatively obscure, are enjoying almost unexpected modishness at the moment, especially but not exclusively in the US (see Jura – the next small thing? published in 2012). But even here in the UK we have been treated to our third generic Jura wine tasting, at which most of these tasting notes were taken. (The vigneron in a vat is the extrovert Stéphane Tissot of André et Mireille Tissot, from his website www.stephane-tissot.com.)
