Alfredo Arribas: Winemaker's Dinner

We are very pleased to invite you to a dinner with the multi-talented Alfredo Arribas, renowned Priorat and Montsant winemaker. It will be held at La Trompette, the Michelin-starred restaurant in London on Tuesday 14th November 2017.

Very few old world wine-making areas have gone through as big a transformation over the past few decades as Priorat. Alfredo Arribas is one of the winemakers who has been at the forefront of this movement, having looked past the sometimes staid traditional wines of the region to its incredible wealth of old vines and stunning terroirs. Alfredo now owns dozens of plots across Priorat and neighbouring Montsant, with a seemingly endless range of wines to match. He uses traditional grapes – Garnacha, Garnacha Blanca, Carinena (with a touch of modernity in some Syrah and Cabernet) which result in wines of extreme power and complexity, but that still retain a brilliant balance and a lovely freshness. Made in tiny quantities of 200-400 cases, they are amongst the most highly-rated and highly sought-after wines in the region.You can expect an informative and passionate evening as Alfredo explains the regions and their unique terroirs.
