On visiting the château last month, we were stunned by the ambition and dynamism of this humble property in a sleepy corner of Bordeaux. They have invested heavily in a brand new winery and are producing a distinctively 'new-wave' style of Bordeaux, with vigour and freshness of fruit preferred over high extraction and heavy oak character.

Julien will introduce the Château and guide us through some current and exciting back vintages including, for the very first time outside of France, the Chambrun 'Le Bourg'. This is a unique bottling from a tiny single vineyard plot of old vines grown on the revered blue clay soil, just across a small stream from the vineyards of Petrus.
