2006 red burgundies fit for a queen

I wrote here about the workings of the Royal Household Wine Committee, on which I have the honour to serve. Here are notes on the wines we tasted for a very specific purpose, red burgundies to be served with meals (as opposed to those for the much larger receptions).
Much of what is written about wines served at Buckingham Palace concerns state occasions. If Her Majesty is entertaining a foreign head of state, then the wine tends to come from the Lancaster House cellar maintained by the government, rather than the Queen, for that specific purpose, the one Tom Watson...
