I love tasting wines I know absolutely nothing about. Not often but sometimes I make a great discovery. Best of all is when a new and exciting wine turns out to be keenly priced.
As those who have studied the details of our ethical policy know, just as book reviewers are constantly bombarded by free books, we wine writers are always being sent bottles for review. No, we don't expect you to feel sorry for us, so I will spare you the 'complaints' about all those trips to the sorting office, the unpacking, disposal of mountains of non-recyclable polystyrene (boo)...
