A taste of the Douro for Purple pagers
Tuesday 21 September 2010

Purple pagers take note. The organisers of the annual New Douro tasting in London are for the first time opening their doors to wine enthusiasts, Purple pagers to be exact. Usually reserved for professionals, this tasting brings together some of the famous northern Portuguese region's finest producers to showcase their fine red and white table wines as well as their ports. It is held high in a spectacular setting above the Thames at Tate Modern with views over to St Paul's Cathedral as shown here. Better still, it is completely free!
