Arlanza’s high mountain slopes, old vines and cool temperatures are giving neighbouring Ribera del Duero a run for its money. Above, one of the vineyards of 80- to 100-year-old vines whose produce is vinified by Andrés Septien.
José Zorrilla (1817–1893) was a famous Spanish poet and playwright who, although born in Valladolid, lived most of his youth in Lerma, as his mother’s family came from this Burgalese town.
