Just as in Bordeaux, there is a whole lot of building going on in the Côte d'Or – presumably reflecting the high prices the top wines have been fetching recently. (There was even a joke about the Porsches of the vignerons of Gevrey from the stage at the Chapître des Chevaliers de Tastevin at Clos de Vougeot last month.)
Between my two most recent visits to Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé in Chambolle-Musigny, the courtyard there was occupied by a giant crane while two tunnels almost 100-metres long were constructed underneath it to house the domaine's jaw-dropping stocks of bottled...
