Bordeaux 1982s – still going strong

As the focus of many wine lovers' attention is on the new, superripe 2009 bordeaux vintage, it seems appropriate to look at how the vintage to which it is often being compared is performing as it approaches its 30th anniversary – JR.
This was a rare treat, and one I almost declined because of a very early start the next morning. So glad I didn't. It was one of a series of tastings organised by London wine merchant Roberson but not an ordinary one – a rare chance to taste 10 wines from the often and highly acclaimed 1982 vintage...
