Bouchard Père et Fils is not just a négociant with some rather fine premises in Beaune, including the terrace that forms part of the old city walls shown above, they are also some of Burgundy’s biggest landholders. So, when invited to taste a range of their Meursaults earlier this month, I accepted readily, hoping to learn more about the appellation’s individual climats and to bring myself up to date with the BP&F wine style.
