Brunello president resigns

Francesco Marone Cinzano stepped down earlier this week as president of the Consorzio of producers of scandal-hit Brunello di Montalcino. His position was becoming increasingly untenable since his company Col d’Orcia is reported to be one of those under investigation for including grapes other than Sangiovese in their Brunellos.
