2011 is certainly not going to be the vintage of the century but I am pretty confident some great wines will emerge. It was one of the earliest harvests we ever had but, unlike canicular 2003 and warm-winter 2007, the growing season was marked by summer in spring, autumn in summer…
Starting in early April the temperatures were almost 30°C for the first 10 days and no rain really came across until the end of June. We were having a drought and were afraid of having a dry summer lacking the water...
