DOMAINE BRUNO CLAIR, Marsannay
JR: Bruno Clair looks after the vines and his contemporary Philippe Brun is in charge of making the wine. They have an enviable 24 ha (59 acres) divided between 25 AOCs. In the 1980s, said Bruno, we were one of only three domaines picking by hand (I assume he meant in Marsannay) but now everyone’s starting to pick by hand again, thanks to all the ambitious new domaines.
