Burgundy 2020 – an intern's view

It is far too early to jump to any conclusions about the 2020 vintage in Burgundy but the harvest was certainly unusual.
Being so early, the 2020 harvest invites comparisons with 2003, but 2003 was not as dry as 2020; stylistically, some say 2020 is expected to be closer to 2015 and 2019, although those two vintages were much more homogeneous.
I don’t believe 2020 can be simply summarised; it’s far too complicated a picture...
