The 56 tasting notes below are grouped alphabetically by producer (sur)name and within those groups are ordered whites before reds, ascending from generic through village, premiers and grands crus. You can change the order within groups as you prefer using the menu below.

Château de Laborde

Ch de Laborde, Au Prunier 2021 Bourgogne Côte d'Or 15.5

Mid crimson. Seductive in its sweet dark-red fruits. More savoury than I expected on the palate. Straightforward but well structured. QGV (JH)

Ch de Laborde, Vieilles Vignes 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 16 +

Cask sample. Mid crimson. Darker-fruited and more savoury than the Bourgogne Côte d'Or Au Prunier. The pepperiness of the Côte d'Or, both on the nose and the palate. Dark fruit on the palate too, really fine tannins that need a little time. Really pure Gevrey with a future. (JH)

Ch de Laborde, En Derée 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 16.5 +

Cask sample. Deep crimson. Dark and quite oaky in aroma. Oak spice and sweetness over small, tart black fruit. On the palate, quite oaky too – perhaps a little too much, but time will tell. Firm, chewy tannins. Needs time but I think it is going to get more complex with age. (JH)

Ch de Laborde, Les Goulots Premier Cru 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 16.5 ++

Cask sample. Mid crimson. The aroma is sweeter than that of the En Dérée but still marked by oak spice, even though it is livelier on the palate. Here too, I think/hope this will be much better (ie less obviously oaky) with a few more years in bottle. The fruit is pure and dark and peppery, as it should be. Chewy but fine-grained tannins.
