This well-known St-Émilion property’s wines were shown off in London recently by the current CEO Aymeric de Gironde. This was a rare opportunity to try 23 vintages of the grand vin, alongside the two most recent vintages of the second wine, Mondot. The vintages ranged from 1962 to 2019 and clearly showed the changes in winemaking practices, style and climate effects, but there was also a consistency of terroir character which marks this estate out from some of its illustrious neighbours.
