You may not be surprised to learn that the perks of being a wine writer are manifold. One of the more obvious ones is the opportunity to taste some of the most expensive and glamorous champagnes in the world.
Last November I was invited to a second vertical tasting of Louis Roederer’s famous prestige cuvée Cristal in three years. (See Lécaillon’s sparkling Roederer Cristals for details of the first one.)
