Frescobaldi returns to Montepulciano

Walter digs deep into the latest acquisition by Tuscany's oldest wine dynasty.
Last year the Frescobaldi empire, already sizeable with nine estates in Tuscany totalling over 500 ha (1,235 acres) of vineyards (see list below), added a new property to their portfolio, this time in Montepulciano.
Last month, its first vintage was shown to the media against the futuristic backdrop of Piazza Tre Torri, Milan’s latest stunning architectural feat. The torri, or towers, that dominate this redevelopment project designed by the likes of Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind and Arata Isozaki are a reference to the towers of San Gimignano...
