Garnacha reclaims Navarra

Spain's northerly wine region is now revelling in its ability to make delicate red expressions of a variety that used to be devoted to popular rosés.
Much has happened since August 2013 when I presented an extended report about the wines of Navarra. At that time, Garnacha was only starting to show its potential for single-varietal wines and 15% of the wines presented were already 100% Garnacha. Today I present a report devoted to red Garnacha on which many Navarra producers are betting as the base for their flagship wine.
