I am told that there is another major incident in the American fine wine market involving a very considerable consignment of wine sold by one individual to another in the US. Auction house A then refused to sell it, so the new owner went back to the vendor. Much tussling.
And the result apparently is that auction house B has sold some or all of it, in the US, with auction house C's lien on it. All very mysterious indeed.
