New Zealand's UK medal winners

New Zealand was strutting its stuff last month in London with a tasting of wines that had won silver, gold or trophy in four UK wine competitions, occasionally in more than one.
Olympic medals are almost always incontrovertible proof of sporting excellence but it's easy to be cynical about the proliferation of medal stickers glinting on wine bottles on the neat shelves of wine retailers. Nevertheless, wine competitions do generally weed out the shockers and quite often pick out real stars, wines that are good value or that have not previously been admired on an international stage.
