PARKER LOCKED OUT OF HALL OF FAME
The Vintners Hall of Fame, headquartered at the Culinary Institute of America's Greystone campus in Napa Valley (pictured below), has announced its 2011 inductees: retired UC Davis wine chemistry professor Vernon L Singleton, Ravenswood winery co-founder and winemaker Joel Peterson, Trinchero Family Estates' Bob Trinchero (credited with popularising White Zinfandel at Sutter Home Winery in the 1970s), Chalone Vineyard founder Richard Graff, and August Sebastiani of historic Sonoma winery Sebastiani Vineyards.

All are certainly deserving, yet one nominee remains conspicuously absent from the Hall of Fame, which honours California winemaking luminaries past and...
