Pinault and Trimbach add glamour

Vineyard land changes hands all the time, but some transactions are more significant than most. Whatever one of France's richest men François Pinault does tends to be of interest. His wine-related interests already include Bordeaux first growth Château Latour, Domaine Eugénie in Vosne-Romanée and Château-Grillet in the northern Rhône.
Now comes news that he has managed to acquire vines in the jewel of the Côte d'Or, Le Montrachet vineyard, as well as land in that other grand cru white burgundy vineyard Bâtard-Montrachet. His investment in a few rows of vines in Le Montrachet is said to have cost him more...
