“In Venice, what you’re most likely to find, when you walk into a bar, is a glass of Prosecco,' started Charles Metcalfe, who recently led a tutored Prosecco tasting at the second annual Vino in Villa in London.
The media buzz over the latest proposal to elevate Prosecco to DOCG status and the surging popularity of this classic Italian sparkling wine in the UK (the reported rise in UK imports is 25%) mean that you are more and more likely to encounter this popular Italian fizz.
The fact that the word ends with ‘secco’ does not ensure that it’s dry...
