Reaction to Broadbent

Michael Broadbent's recent contribution on the stylistic divide in modern Bordeaux has drawn a range of responses of which the following are representative, although David S's is of course more literate, considered and detailed than I deserve.

I suppose your allowing my name to appear right beneath that of the redoubtable Mr Broadbent (whom I have never met nor corresponded with) has aroused my hubris. But I hope and believe that something other than arrogance compels me to comment.
I am frankly not much concerned about Pavie in particular, nor about the future of Bordeaux wine...
