Reminders of the greatness of port

Last month I spent a couple of nights in port country in my capacity as a member of the Royal Household Wine Committee. This meant that our hosts, Graham and Taylor, rolled out many a red-carpet-in-a-bottle. The magnificent array of ports we were treated to – back to an amazing Graham 1924 and several extremely venerable tawnies – are described below. (I will report on the Douro table wines separately.)
