Report from Bordeaux 5

Christian Moueix of J P Moueix is famously the politest man in the Bordeaux wine trade but I did finally see him very, very slightly lose his cool yesterday morning and it was all our fault. Caroline, Mrs Charlie, Matthews of Bordeaux Uncorked has been efficiently driving me around from appointment to appointment – not only a safe traffic option when so much wine is tasted but such a useful one in the age of email traffic to be monitored. But she had a bad experience on the Bordeaux ring road recently that has led to her being extra cautious...
