Yes, we were early at Issan. And at Palmer. So much so that our group splintered into two with earlybirds me, Caroline, Fiona Thienpont/Morrison and Robert Gorjak of Slovenia managing to squeeze in a quick flip around the tables at négociant Ulysse Cazabonne’s great purview tasting before anyone else arrived between our (extremely rewarding) appointments at Chx Palmer and Margaux. I have never seen the Médoc look so beautiful. Temperatures reached 28 deg C yesterday afternoon with spring blossoms in full bloom, vines dangerously advanced.
