Rhône 2021 – other southern whites and rosés

Above, Tavel 2021 rosés lined up for Alistair to taste blind, in a glamorous setting. This follows yesteday's survey of white Châteauneuf 2021. See this guide to our extensive coverage of 2021 Rhône.
Overall, the whites again performed better than the reds. While not a stellar vintage the wines are solid and should drink well early.
Tavel rosé, with its defiantly deep colour, fared relatively well with some bright and juicy wines to be found. See Tam's recent endorsement of this renascent appellation.
