New Zealand wine is enjoying quite extraordinary popularity at the moment – and I don't think it is just because the New Zealand grape glut has sent the price of the country's signature wine, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, tumbling. Brits, Australians and even Americans are now clamouring for a wide range of different varietals (and I mean varietals, the wines, not varieties, the grapes in this case) from the land of the long white cloud.
