Although this started off as, and still is predominantly, a collection of sweet Tokaj (with one outlier, more on which later), it was coming across a small handful of sweet wines from Croatia and Slovenia that persuaded me to include them and broaden the borders to central Europe.
One thing this tasting taught me is that you cannot underestimate the ageing potential of sweet wines from this part of the world. It’s almost a shame to be tasting them...
