Richard considers who, if anyone, actually drinks fine wine – in Asia or anywhere.
Ultimately, there are only a handful of names that consume the world’s finest wines: Armitage Shanks, Thomas Crapper, Grohe and Swiss Madison are some of the best known. For it is only at this stage that the wine has truly been consumed – not sold, saved and cellared, but de-corked, drunk and digested.
