Those who have been following the discussion on the members' forum about what happens to wine when it travels, and whether certain wines are subject to some sort of transport shock may be interested to read the reply I've finally received from Harold McGee.
In it he points out the recent finding that wine, both red and white, contain much more dietary fibre than expected, about 1 gm/litre. Further grist to the wine-is-good-for-you mill?
