Along with about 30 others, I spent all of yesterday cloistered in an upper room at Australia House in London being taught how to taste wine. The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) regularly runs these Advanced Wine Assessment Courses (AWACs) for members of the Australian wine industry to teach them how to spot faults and how to become wine judges in Australia’s show system and this was another chance (like the Landmark Tutorial on which Julia is currently reporting) for Wine Australia to show the outside world the special...
