The worst job I ever had was on a municipal landfill near Bedford. It was literally rubbish. What had once been a stone quarry became so overfilled that a mountain of garbage was steadily rising from the ground and with the faintest breeze, trash flew everywhere. To catch it, they put up enormous nets. What got past the nets was collected by hand. By my hand, specifically.
