Many of us who buy fine wine regularly want to buy or sell small quantities of mature wines, but the auction houses, fine wine traders and most wine merchants are interested in dealing in only fairly large quantities of wine. Bid for Wine has been established as a sort of fine-wine-specific eBay. What I like about it is that by and large it offers wines for drinking rather than investing in – third rather than first growths, for example – and from vintages that would be good to drink now.
