This is the Semillon version of the selection of top Australian Rieslings described recently here.
These 14 Semillons represent some of Australia’s best dry whites, in at least three different styles, the first of which virtually demands extended bottle age. They are listed by state with a brief introduction to what each state typically brings to the Bordeaux white grape variety (which also thrives in South Africa even if less distinctively).
