Bordeaux 2007 campaign revs up a little

Wine merchants plugging the 2007 bordeaux primeurs, so far with little enthusiasm, are allowing themselves to get a little excited about the release of Ch Pontet-Canet today. Farr are offering it at £445 a case, admitting that this price puts it at the high end of their estimate.
There is no doubt that Alfred Tesseron is extremely and personally committed to making this Pauillac property express the maximum of its potential and has, most unusually, committed himself to a rigorous programme of viticulture based on biodynamic principles – extremely rare in Pauillac, and even the Médoc.
