Today we continue south to St-Julien and Margaux, Moulis and Listrac. See this guide to the entirety of our coverage of this exceptional vintage.
As with St-Julien in 2018, I find it hard to make any useful generalisations about Margaux – the commune rather than the château – in this vintage. My two top-scoring wines, Chx Palmer and Margaux, are very different from each other and underline the way words and score have to be read together.
