Tank/cask sample. Summer fruits, perfumed with a floral note. Appealing fruit, good acidity and moderate concentration. Really good length and appealing style. (AC)

Tank/cask sample. Classic nose with good freshness, elegance and an iron note as well as a subtle earthy twist. Loads of energy and depth here – really nicely put together. A long, attractive, pure finish. (AC)

Tank/cask sample. Quite restrained on the nose, ferrous and bloody. Good concentration of fruit, well-judged acidity and a lively, fresh finish. Appealing and attractive – not the biggest but gives lots of pleasure. (AC)

Even after many white burgundies, this stands out for its inviting fragrance. That mix of bright lemon fruit, lees/oatmeal and a hint of savoury oak (or is that lees too?). Terrific balance between acid tension, bright fruit and a gentle texture to bring depth and complexity. Deep, spicy aftertaste. GV (JH)

The aroma (and the price) suggests more oak influence than on the Santenay Vieilles Vignes. Really spicy. On the palate, masses of crisp, ripe, intense citrus. A fruit bomb – but a refined one – that needs time to mesh, but has all the parts in place. (JH)

Light to mid cherry red. Fresh, dark-red fruit. A touch of oak spice on the nose. On the palate, firm tannins balanced by good depth of dark-red fruit. Quite savoury on the finish. Gently chewy texture in harmony with this straightforward but complete wine. (JH)
