A Spanish region we really should check out before prices rise.
In Spain, most wine professionals see Calatayud as a dormant region, although we see it as a possibility as the next big thing. For instance, in the 1980s, José Peñín, the leading Spanish wine expert, compared Calatayud's wines to those of Roussillon, and he also pointed out that some of the soils were close to those found in Priorat.
