Château..... Mercian

I know that at the moment many wine lovers will be seeking news of Châteaux in south-west France. That will follow. Meanwhile here is an assessment of Japan's most famous 'Château'.
Château Mercian, along with Suntory and Mann's, is one of Japan's biggest wine companies. I suspect partly because they initially decided not to join the Koshu of Japan initiative, the company sent me a range of some of their top wines to taste. You may recall that Denis Dubourdieu outlined the extent of French influence on the company's Koshu in French reactions to Koshu. I was pretty impressed...
