Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, the new seal given to single-vineyard wines or top cuvées of allegedly the highest quality, has begun to cast its net wider and wider. Even if currently only 7% of Chianti Classico’s output is labelled as such, it is a category that is growing fast because many producers, even some who are not really convinced by it, seem to be succumbing tothe attractions of Gran Selezione’s growing importance.
