If ever we needed proof that, rain willing, there are still myriad suitable vineyard sites to discover in the vast land mass of Australia, Crawford River is it. I have long been a fan of Crawford River Riesling grown in an isolated spot near the Victorian coast well south west of Melbourne, not so far from the heavily quarantined South Australian border.
