Domaine Huet sold

American-Asian businessman Anthony Hwang, who seems to have a penchant for top-quality sweet white wines with notable acidity, has become the majority shareholder in one of the Loire's most famous estates.
Even before he died last year, Gaston Huet the mayor and grand old man of Vouvray knew that some outside capital would be required for this great domaine to continue to make wine to the high standards he had set.
As is so often the case in French family-owned domaines, too few of the shareholders had an active interest in wine and the solution was to sell the majority...
