A request in this thread in member's forum for tasting notes for the admirable Dog Point wines reminded me that it was high time I published the notes I took on my whirl around New Zealand last February. So here they are, in alphabetical order by producer and then in the order the wines were served.
I was told that New Zealand's top exports are now, in order, tourism, dairy produce, forestry, sheep, beef, wine and then wool, with wine finally having overtaken wool – perhaps partly because of the rise of the polyester fleece? (Image of sheep and vines...
