A vertical tasting extending back to 1958 highlighted the exceptional work of Angelo Gaja in Piemonte and beyond. Above, Gaia Gaja with her favourite vintage of Barbaresco.
The Gaja family recently came to London to celebrate Angelo Gaja’s lifework in a tasting celebrating his 62-year(!) reign at this legendary estate since 1961 when at the age of 21 he joined his father Giovanni.
The event, aptly called ‘Angelo Gaja – the tasting of a lifetime’, encompassed wines going all the way back to 1958 and took place in London’s sumptuous Dorchester Hotel.
