The ground-breaking North London wine store The Sampler is holding its third annual Christmas Icon Extravaganza. 'This', explains Jamie Hutchinson of The Sampler in a mailout to his customers, 'is the time when we leave our rational side behind and go all out for some really silly wines. These are not the kind of wines that many of us will ever be able to drink, but that's what these wines were made for – not to be locked up in some wealthy collector's cellar for decades. Anyway, this year we have completely lost the plot.'
