Greek profiles 2 – Boutari, Náoussa

Following my introduction to the Greek region of Macedonia in The right road to northern Greece, this is the second in a series of producer potraits. In the first one I looked at Kir-Yianni and now it's the turn of Boutari, the large family firm from which Kir-Yianni was spawned.
Boutari Wineries was established in Náoussa in 1879 and was the first wine company to be quoted on the Athens stock exchange. They own 110 ha across several estates from Crete via Santorini in the islands to Náoussa and Gouménissa in the north. An additional 350 ha are contracted...
