Our intrepid sybarite correspondent Lindsay Hamilton, who retired from his co-ownership of Farr Vintners earlier this year, sends us another report of another lunch – and more travails on the way to it.
With a little more time on my hands, I had spent the morning with them at home, in downpipes that were blocked because they were fixed at the wrong angle causing water to flood into our atrium and soaking the plaster and breeze block walls. Much shaking of heads and sucking in air (and not for wine reasons)!
I was reflecting on this whilst cutting through Grosvenor...
